Print throughput and performance
The Brother HL-L5210DN produces monochrome documents at speeds of up to 48 pages per minute on A4 media, with a first print out time of less than 6.7 seconds. Powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex-A53 main processor and 1 GB of onboard memory, it processes multi-page office batches with a measured printing noise level of 54.0 dB(A).
Paper handling and expansion
Standard paper supply includes a 250-sheet enclosed tray and a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray that accepts varied media sizes, including A4, Letter, Legal, and Folio. Workgroups with larger output volumes can install up to two optional lower paper trays to achieve a maximum capacity of 1,390 sheets. Integrated automatic two-sided printing is standard, helping offices manage paper consumption on routine documentation.
Network connectivity and access security
A built-in Gigabit Ethernet port connects the printer directly to office local area networks, while a USB 2.0 port supports local workstation connection. To safeguard shared hardware, administrators can configure Secure Function Lock, Setting Lock, and Secure Print to restrict unauthorised feature access and hold confidential print jobs until released.
Toner yield options and maintenance
The printer supports multiple toner capacity tiers, ranging from the standard 3,000-page TN-3608 cartridge to the 18,000-page TN-3618 ultra high-yield option. A long-life DR-3608 drum unit provides a rated yield of up to 75,000 pages when printing three pages per job, reducing physical consumable interventions.
