The Brother HL-L3240CDW produces colour and monochrome documents at rated speeds of up to 26 pages per minute on A4 media and 27 pages per minute on Letter media. The LED print engine operates at 600 x 600 dpi native resolution, with an enhanced output level reaching 600 x 2400 dpi class quality. Integrated automatic duplex printing handles two-sided A4 documents on plain, thin, and recycled paper stocks to decrease office paper consumption.
Paper Handling and Footprint
Paper feeds from an enclosed lower tray holding up to 250 sheets of standard 80 gsm office paper. For individual envelopes, labels, or heavier media, a single-sheet manual feed slot is positioned on the front panel. Output collects in an internal bin holding up to 150 sheets face-down. With dimensions of 399 mm in width, 399 mm in depth, and 239 mm in height alongside a weight of 15.4 kg, the unit fits onto standard credenzas or shared workstations.
Network Connectivity and Security
Workgroups can connect to the printer through a Gigabit Ethernet network port, Hi-Speed USB 2.0, or integrated dual-band wireless networking supporting 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequencies. Mobile printing protocols include Apple AirPrint, Mopria, Wi-Fi Direct, and Brother Mobile Connect. Consumables and Management
The printer ships with initial toner cartridges rated for approximately 1,000 monochrome pages and 1,000 pages per colour. Standard replacement TN-269 cartridges yield 1,500 monochrome and 1,200 colour pages, whilst high-yield TN-269XL cartridges supply 3,000 monochrome and 2,300 colour pages. Device configuration is managed via a single-line 16-character LCD screen backed by 256 MB of internal memory.
