Print, Scan, and Copy Capabilities
The Canon PIXMA E470 combines colour printing, flatbed colour scanning, and copying in a single desktop unit. It prints at speeds of approximately 8 images per minute in mono and 4 images per minute in colour, reaching resolutions up to 4,800 by 1,200 dpi. The flatbed Contact Image Sensor scanner digitises documents up to A4 or Letter size at an optical resolution of 600 by 1,200 dpi, whilst the copier handles runs of up to 21 pages.
Media Handling and Ink Efficiency
Paper feeds from a rear tray that accepts up to 60 sheets of 64 gsm plain paper. The tray supports standard formats including A4, A5, B5, Letter, and Legal, alongside envelopes. The unit uses standard PG-47 black cartridges delivering approximately 400 pages, alongside CL-57S colour cartridges yielding 180 pages, with an optional CL-57 colour cartridge rated for 300 pages.
Connectivity and Operation
Users can connect via standard USB 2.0 or integrate the machine into an office network using wireless LAN IEEE 802.11b/g/n. Direct Connection allows mobile devices to link without an external router, and the printer works with the Canon PRINT, Easy-PhotoPrint Editor and Creative Park mobile apps. Built-in Auto Power ON and OFF functions manage power consumption during daily operation.
Dimensions and Warranty
Measuring approximately 426 by 306 by 145 millimetres and weighing 3.5 kilograms, the unit sits comfortably on standard office desks with a recommended monthly print volume of 50 to 200 pages. It is backed by a 3-year 1-to-1 on-site exchange warranty. To receive this warranty coverage, customers must register the product with Canon Malaysia within 14 days of purchase at https://ylwc.canon.com.my.
