Print Quality and Ink System
The printer uses HP Thermal Inkjet technology alongside 3 universal printheads with 2112 nozzles per colour, giving 12,672 nozzles in total. Six pigment-based HP Vivid Photo Inks combine with HP Pixel Control to produce water- and fade-resistant prints with high contrast and smooth tonal gradients. The drop architecture employs 7/3 pl dual-drop weights for magenta, cyan, and photo black, alongside 6 pl single-drop weights for yellow, chromatic red, and matte black.
Media Handling and Formats
Paper handling incorporates a single roll feed accommodating roll widths from 279 to 610 mm, a rear sheet feed, an automatic horizontal cutter, and a media output bin. Supported sheet sizes comprise standard A4, A3, A2, and A1 formats, accepting media thickness up to 0.8 mm with a line accuracy of ±0.1%.
Processing, Languages, and Security
Equipped with 128 GB (virtual) memory and a 500 GB self-encrypting hard drive, the unit processes complex files using Adobe PostScript 3, Adobe PDF 1.7, TIFF, JPEG, CALS G4, HP-GL/2, and HP-RTL. Workflow management is supported through HP Click software and Productivity modes. Device and document protection is provided by HP Wolf Pro Security features, including Secure Boot, encrypted storage, secure PIN printing, and fleet-wide security administration.
