Projection and positioning
The PT-VMZ62 has vertical lens shift of +44 % from center of screen and horizontal lens shift of ±20 % from center of screen. Its keystone correction range is Vertical ±25° and Horizontal ±35°. It supports independent 4-Corner Adjustment, curved-screen correction and 6-Point Screen Adjustment.
Connections and signal handling
The HDMI inputs and DIGITAL LINK connection accept 4K/30p signals. Input signals are converted to the projector’s resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. For 4K/30p input through DIGITAL LINK, YPBPR 4:2:0 format only is used. DIGITAL LINK carries video, audio and control signals through a single CAT 5e LAN cable. The RJ-45 connection supports network and DIGITAL LINK connection, 100Base-TX and PJLink [Class 2].
Operation
Daylight View Basic measures ambient light and adjusts sharpness, halftone color, contrast and brightness. Built-in scheduling supports automated power on/off, shutter activation and input selection. Wireless projection from a laptop or smartphone is supported with the optional AJ-WM50 Series Wireless Module, sold separately.
Light source and sound
Time until light output declines to 50 % is 20,000 hours [NORMAL] and 24,000 hours [ECO]. Operation noise is 35 dB [NORMAL], 35 dB [ECO], 30 dB [QUIET1] and 25 dB [QUIET2]. The built-in speaker is 10 W monaural.
Warranty and included item
3 years set warranty against manufacturing defects & 10,000 hrs whichever comes first for LASER projectors. Supplied items listed by Panasonic include a filter.
