Refillable Pigment Ink System
The printer uses four GI-75 all-pigment ink bottles covering black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. These quick-drying inks offer resistance to water, markers, and fading. Canon rates the ink yield at up to 3,000 pages, or 4,500 pages in economy mode.
Paper Handling and Duplex Printing
A single front-loading paper cassette holds up to 250 sheets of 64 g/m² A4 plain paper. Built-in automatic duplex printing produces double-sided documents at rates of up to 8 ipm in monochrome and 6 ipm in colour, reducing paper consumption during standard office workflows.
Scanning and Copying Capabilities
A flatbed CIS platen scanner delivers optical capture at resolutions up to 1,200 x 2,400 dpi. The copying system handles runs up to 99 pages, delivering the first colour document copy in 17 seconds or continuous runs at 9.1 ipm.

Device configuration is managed through a 2.7-inch colour touchscreen LCD panel. Network integration includes wired Ethernet LAN, 2.4 GHz wireless LAN, and Wireless Direct, alongside USB 2.0 connectivity. Mobile output is supported through AirPrint, Mopria Print Service, and the Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY application.
