The Brother DCP-L2640DW delivers print speeds of up to 34 pages per minute for A4 documents and up to 36 pages per minute for Letter size, backed by a 1,200 by 1,200 dpi maximum print resolution. The unit incorporates a 250-sheet lower paper tray for plain paper up to 80 gsm and supports automatic duplex printing on standard office media sizes. Paper output accommodates up to 120 sheets face-down.
Document Processing and Copying
A 50-sheet automatic document feeder handles multi-page scanning and copying tasks without manual sheet feeding. Flatbed scanning supports optical capture up to 1,200 by 1,200 dpi, while the ADF scans up to 600 by 600 dpi. The standalone copying function offers 600 by 600 dpi resolution with reduction and enlargement settings between 25 per cent and 400 per cent.
Network Integration and Mobile Operations
Network connectivity options include wired 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN, and Wi-Fi Direct, alongside a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port for local workstation deployment. Mobile print and scan workflows are supported via the Brother Mobile Connect application, with direct integration for cloud platforms including Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, and OneNote. Hardware operations are monitored via a 2-line 16-character LCD interface.
Consumables and Operating Specifications
The device runs on 256 MB of internal memory and supports Windows client and server operating systems. Replacement supplies include the TN-2560 standard toner cartridge rated for up to 1,200 pages, the TN2560XL high-yield toner cartridge rated for up to 3,000 pages, and the DR2560 drum unit with a service life of up to 15,000 pages. A standard full-capacity toner cartridge rated up to 1,200 pages is supplied in the box. Manufacturer coverage is backed by a 3-year carry-in warranty.
