Media Handling and Output Versatility
The HP DesignJet T850 36-in Printer manages varied production tasks with sheet feed, roll feed, and an integrated 50-sheet input tray for A4 and A3 sizes. Manual sheet feeding accommodates formats ranging from A4 up to A0, with custom sizes reaching 210 x 279 to 914 x 1676 mm. An automatic horizontal cutter and built-in media bin handle finished prints across supported bond, coated, technical, film, and photographic media.
Pigment Ink Print Technology
Equipped with HP Thermal Inkjet technology, the printer delivers resolutions up to 2400 x 1200 optimized dpi. The 4-cartridge ink system utilises cyan, magenta, yellow, and matte black pigment-based inks driven by a single printhead with 1376 nozzles per colour, totalling 5504 nozzles. This configuration supports media weights from 60 to 280 g/m² on roll or manual feed (60 to 220 g/m² from the input tray).
Network Connectivity and Management Software
Standard network interfaces include Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n for local connectivity. Available driver and workflow software includes the HP Click App, HP Click Driver for Windows 11, and the HP app for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices. The unit is fitted with 1 GB of memory to manage print files.
Energy Consumption and Warranty Coverage
The printer is ENERGY STAR certified, drawing 35 W during printing, less than 5.5 W in ready status, less than 2.5 W in sleep mode, and less than 0.2 W in standby. Auto-scheduled printer on/off usage allows programmed power management. Hardware protection is provided under a standard 2 years Next Business Day onsite support warranty.
