Display panel and resolution
The BenQ RD280U incorporates a 28.2-inch IPS panel with a 3:2 aspect ratio and 3840×2560 native resolution. A Nano Matte coating provides anti-glare and anti-reflective properties across the screen surface. The display delivers 350 nits typical brightness, reaches 400 nits peak brightness in HDR, supports HDR10 and VESA DisplayHDR 400, and covers 95% of the P3 colour gamut.
Programming modes and MoonHalo lighting
Built specifically for coding environments, the monitor includes dedicated dark and light coding modes with adjustable brightness, sharpness, and contrast settings. A Coding HotKey and Function Bar offer immediate access to programming display parameters. The rear-mounted MoonHalo bias light provides customizable colour temperature, brightness levels, and lighting modes, supported by Brightness Intelligence Gen2 auto-dimming.
Connectivity and KVM switching
Hardware interfaces include 1 HDMI 2.0 port, 1 DisplayPort 1.4 input, and 1 USB-C port supplying 90W Power Delivery alongside video and data transmission. An integrated KVM switch enables control of multiple input systems using a single keyboard and mouse. Multi-monitor arrangements are accommodated via USB-C daisy chaining with Multi-Stream Transport, while 3 USB Type-A downstream ports connect desktop peripherals.
Eye care and software control
Display Pilot 2 software manages desktop partitioning, application modes, MoonHalo controls, and software dimming. Eye-care features include Low Blue Light Plus with Circadian Mode, Night Hours Protection, and certifications for TUV Reflection Free, Low Blue Light, and Eyesafe 2.0. Built-in speakers provide 2Wx2 audio output.
Ergonomics and warranty
The included stand provides up to 110 mm of height adjustment along with tilt and swivel positioning, while pivot adjustment is not supported. Alternatively, the monitor mounts to arms or wall brackets using the standard 100×100 mm VESA pattern. The BenQ RD280U is supplied with a 3-Year Warranty.
