Print Quality and Refillable Ink System
The MFC-T930DW delivers document printing up to 1,200 x 6,000 dpi with ISO print speeds reaching 17.0 ipm for monochrome and 16.5 ipm for colour output. Automatic two-sided printing reduces paper consumption on A4 and Letter jobs, whilst borderless printing is supported across standard photo and document formats. The integrated ink tank system is supplied with high-yield refill bottles, providing approximately 7,500 pages from the BTD100 black bottle and 5,000 pages per colour bottle using BTD100 cyan, magenta, and yellow.
Flexible Media Handling and Document Feeding
Paper supplies are distributed between a 150-sheet enclosed standard tray supporting paper weights from 64gsm to 220gsm and an 80-sheet multi-purpose tray that accommodates media up to 300gsm. A 20-sheet automatic document feeder handles unattended copying, scanning, and faxing of multi-page paperwork, routing completed sheets to a 50-sheet output bin. Supported media formats range from envelopes and photo cards up to Folio, Legal, and standard A4 sizes.
Scanning, Copying, and Fax Functionality
Flatbed scanning captures optical detail up to 1,200 x 2,400 dpi, while the document feeder scans up to 1,200 x 600 dpi, achieving capture speeds from 3.35 seconds for mono and 4.38 seconds for colour. Documents can be routed directly to email, image files, OCR software, or connected USB memory storage. Copy tasks run at up to 13.0 ipm mono and 10.5 ipm colour with 2-in-1 ID card replication and 4-in-1 layout modes, complemented by a 14.4 kbps modem featuring PC Fax transmission and reception.
Network Connectivity and Workgroup Management
Connectivity options include Ethernet, dual-band wireless LAN on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, Wi-Fi Direct, and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 with direct USB walk-up printing. Mobile operations are supported through Brother Mobile Connect, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, and the Brother Print Service Plugin. Routine operation and configuration are monitored via an integrated 1.8-inch colour LCD display backed by 128MB of internal memory, compatible with Windows 10 and 11, macOS versions 12 through 14, and Linux platforms.
