High-Volume Monochrome Output with Colour Flexibility
The Canon PIXMA GM4070 is designed for high-volume document workflows, utilising a refillable GI-70 pigment black ink bottle that yields up to 6,000 standard pages or 8,300 pages in Economy Mode. Workgroups that occasionally require colour charts or graphics can insert an optional CL-741 or CL-741XL colour cartridge. Document print speeds reach 13.0 ipm for monochrome output and 6.8 ipm for colour jobs.
Paper Handling and Scanning Features
The printer supports high-capacity paper handling of up to 350 sheets, distributing stock across a 250-sheet front cassette and a 100-sheet rear paper tray. Automatic two-sided printing comes standard. For multipage contracts and forms, the built-in 35-sheet automatic document feeder handles batch jobs efficiently, while the flatbed Contact Image Sensor delivers up to 1,200 x 2,400 dpi optical resolution.
Network Connectivity and System Compatibility
Office connectivity options include wired Ethernet, wireless IEEE 802.11b/g/n, and direct wireless connections without a separate access point. Local device management is handled via a 32-language two-line LCD screen. Operating system compatibility requires a PC running Windows 10, Windows 8.1, or Windows 7 SP1; macOS environments are not supported.
