Media and paper handling
This single-function printer handles print media up to A3 size across standard paper inputs consisting of a 100-sheet Multipurpose tray and a 250-sheet input tray. Standard automatic duplex printing enables two-sided document production, while finished jobs collect in a 250-sheet face-down output bin. Supported sizes for Tray 1 include A3, A4, A5, A6, RA3, SRA3, B4, B5, 10×15 cm, and envelopes (DL, C5, B5).
Connectivity and management
Network integration is provided through built-in Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX alongside a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port. Mobile printing capability includes HP ePrint, and users can walk up and print from a USB drive via the easy-access USB port. Fleet administrators can centrally monitor and control printers with HP Web Jetadmin, while local operation is handled via a 2-line, 16-character backlit front panel display with 5 buttons and 2 LEDs.
Performance and power consumption
First page prints in as quickly as 16 seconds, with print speeds up to 20 ppm in black and 20 ppm in color. Standard internal memory is 192 MB, expandable via 1 slot, 144-pin, DDR2 DIMM. Power consumption is rated at 440 watts active, 30 watts standby, 4.4 watts powersave, and 0.5 watts off, supported by HP Auto-On/Auto-Off Technology with a Typical Electricity Consumption of 1.787 kWh/Week.
