Media handling and paper support
The HP DesignJet T1600 36-in PostScript Printer Plus Edition accepts standard sheet formats comprising A4, A3, A2, A1, and A0, as well as custom media sizes from 210 x 279 to 914 x 1219 mm. Supported media weights range from 60 to 328 g/m² across bond and coated paper, technical paper, film, photographic paper, backlit materials, and self-adhesive sheets. Finished output is gathered by an integrated output stacker that accommodates media from A4/A to A0/E with a capacity of up to 100 A1/D-size sheets.
Printhead and ink architecture
Printing is delivered via HP Thermal Inkjet technology using one universal printhead and six print cartridges covering cyan, magenta, yellow, photo black, matte black, and gray. Colour print quality reaches up to 2400 x 1200 optimised dpi using dye-based colour and gray inks alongside pigment-based matte black ink. Power consumption is rated at 100 W during active printing, less than 36 W in ready mode, less than 10 W in sleep mode, and 0.3 W when powered off.
Processing and software integration
File processing is handled by 128 GB memory and an embedded Adobe PDF Print Engine capable of reproducing PANTONE colours, smooth shading, transparencies, and overprint. Included software comprises the HP Click App, HP App, HP Web Jetadmin, HP Security Manager, HP Click Driver for Windows 11, and HP Build Workspace with cloud-based AI Vectorization to convert raster drawings into CAD files.
Connectivity and warranty support
Standard connectivity is supplied by Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T), with wireless network operation available using an optional Jetdirect accessory. Network protocol support spans SNMP, SSL/TLS, IPsec, SMBv3, 802.1X authentication, and Apple Bonjour. Hardware service is provided under a Standard 2 yrs Next Business Day onsite support warranty.
