A4 lamination and document finishing
The Biosystem 260D combines A4 heated lamination with a two-hole puncher and a corner cutter. Its two-roller system supports laminating pouches rated from 80 to 125 microns, with a laminating speed of 300 mm/min. The machine brings these document-finishing functions into one unit without requiring a separate laminator for the heated pouch stage.
Document and pouch thickness
For document selection, the 260D has a maximum document thickness rating of 0.5 mm, while the supported laminating pouch range is 80–125 microns. These figures describe different materials: the document thickness limit applies to the document, and the micron range applies to the pouch. Both limits need to be considered when selecting the material to pass through the laminator.
Warm-up and jam release
The 260D has a pre-heating time of 2–3 minutes for heated operation. A jam-release function is also provided, alongside the two-roller laminating system. Pre-heating time describes preparation before a laminating run; the separate speed figure of 300 mm/min describes movement through the machine rather than completed sheets per minute.
Machine dimensions and warranty
The external dimensions of the laminator are 404 mm in width, 76 mm in height and 150 mm in depth, with a total net machine weight of 1.08 kg. It includes a two-hole puncher and corner cutter as document-finishing functions. The 260D carries a 2-year carry-in warranty.
Frequently asked questions
Does the 260D also punch documents and cut corners?
It includes a two-hole puncher and a corner cutter alongside heated lamination.
Does the 0.5 mm thickness limit refer to the laminating pouch?
No. The 0.5 mm limit is the maximum document thickness. The laminating pouch rating is 80–125 microns.
