Perforator & Embossing Machine Repair & Servicing

Description
A perforator machine that produces incomplete, misaligned, or illegible perforation is a document security failure — the entire point of perforating a cheque, invoice, or official form is that the marking is precise, permanent, and tamper-evident. When your perforator’s pins are worn, the numbering counter has jammed, or the electric trigger mechanism stops responding, those documents can no longer be marked with the confidence your operation depends on.
WOW Supplies sells and services perforator machines and embossing machines — both New Kon and Pernumabrands — making us one of the few repair specialists in Malaysia with deep hands-on familiarity with these precision document-security machines. We service banks, government departments, legal firms, accounting offices, and any organisation that depends on perforated documentation for authentication and fraud prevention.
Not sure if your machine is a perforator or a puncher? A hole puncher removes circular pieces of paper to create filing holes. A perforator punches a pattern of tiny holes through the document to form text or numbers — no paper is removed. The perforated text cannot be erased, whited out, or altered without visibly destroying the document, making it the standard for tamper-evident document marking in financial and legal environments.
✅ Common Perforator & Embosser Problems We Fix
Perforators (Manual & Electric — Fixed Text, Date, Numbering):
- Incomplete or faint perforation — some characters not perforating fully through the sheet
- Broken, bent, or worn perforation pins / needles
- Misaligned text — characters shifted, tilted, or unevenly spaced on the document
- Numbering counter not advancing after each press (consecutive numbering models)
- Date wheels jammed, stuck, or not resetting correctly
- Lever stiff, difficult to depress, or not returning after press (manual models)
- Electric trigger not firing or firing inconsistently (electric models)
- Foot pedal not triggering the perforation cycle
- Motor running but punching head not engaging (electric models)
- Machine perforating in the wrong position on the document — guide or stop misaligned
- Double-strike — machine firing twice per operation
- Excessive noise, vibration, or grinding during operation
Embossing Machines (Manual & Electric):
- Embossed impression too light, uneven, or off-centre
- Die plates misaligned — impression not crisp
- Lever mechanism stiff or not returning to position (manual models)
- Electric embosser not completing the press cycle
- Die worn and producing soft or incomplete impressions
- Physical damage to die plates or frame
🔧 Machine Types We Service
Perforators:
- Manual fixed-text perforators — pre-set text (PAID, VOID, DIBAYAR, CANCELLED, etc.)
- Manual date perforators — date wheels set manually per use
- Manual numbering perforators — auto-advance consecutive numbering (single and double line)
- Electric fixed-text perforators — foot pedal or button trigger, high-volume use
- Electric date and numbering perforators — for sustained batch document processing
- Double-line perforators — perforates number + date simultaneously in a single operation
- Handy / portable perforators — compact lever models for occasional use
Embossing Machines:
- Manual embossers — S, M, L plate sizes
- Electric embossers — for high-volume company seal or authentication applications
🏭 Brands We Service
We are authorised dealers and service specialists for:
New Kon — Full range including PR-10 handy, 206 series (fixed text), 208 series (fixed, date, digit, double-line), PEF-15 and PEK-15 electric perforators, and EMS / EMM / EML / EES / EEM / EEL embossing machines.

Being an authorised dealer means we have direct access to genuine New Kon and Pernuma spare parts — including replacement pin sets, die plates, and numbering mechanism components — that general repair shops cannot source.
🧰 What Our Service Includes
- On-site assessment and diagnosis — we examine the machine before any work begins
- Pin / needle inspection and replacement — the most common cause of incomplete perforation; we carry genuine replacement pin sets for New Kon and Pernuma models
- Numbering and date mechanism servicing — clears jams, realigns wheels, restores auto-advance
- Alignment calibration — corrects position of the perforation on the document
- Electric trigger and motor servicing — restores consistent firing on electric models
- Foot pedal inspection and repair — checks cable, switch, and mechanical linkage
- Embossing die alignment and plate servicing
- Internal cleaning and lubrication — removes paper dust, debris, and dried lubricant that cause stiffness and misfiring
- Post-repair test perforation — we run a stack of test sheets before returning the machine
- Usage and maintenance advice — correct paper thickness limits, lubrication schedule, pin replacement intervals
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
My perforator is perforating some characters but not others — what causes this? This is almost always caused by broken or excessively worn perforation pins. Each character in the text is formed by a cluster of pins, and if one or more pins in a character are broken, that part of the character won’t perforate. We carry genuine pin sets for New Kon and Pernuma machines and can replace them — restoring the full, crisp perforation pattern.
The numbering counter on my perforator isn’t advancing — is this repairable? Yes. The automatic numbering advance mechanism is a precision gear-and-ratchet system. It can jam from debris or worn components, or slip if the spring tension is lost. We service and realign these mechanisms without replacing the full numbering head in most cases.
My electric perforator isn’t firing when I press the foot pedal — is it the pedal or the machine? Often the foot pedal cable or the switch inside the pedal. We’ll test the pedal in isolation first before opening the machine body. If the pedal is confirmed good, the fault is in the trigger relay or motor — both serviceable.
Can you service machines not purchased from WOW Supplies? Yes — we service New Kon and Pernuma perforators regardless of where they were originally purchased. If you have an older model, bring it in and we’ll assess parts availability before committing to a repair timeline.
How precise does the perforation alignment need to be — does it matter if it’s slightly off? For security and compliance purposes, yes. A perforated cheque or invoice where the text falls outside the designated area may be queried by banks or auditors, and the tamper-evident value of the marking is reduced if positioning is inconsistent. Alignment calibration is part of every service we perform.
Do you repair embossing machine die plates if the impression has worn soft? We can inspect and assess the die. Light wear can sometimes be improved through press adjustment. Severely worn dies typically require new plates — we can advise on ordering replacement dies through the manufacturer. For standard company seal sizes, lead time is usually available at the time of service.
How long does a perforator repair take? Most repairs are completed within 3–7 working days. Pin set replacements and alignment calibration are often faster. If a part needs to be sourced from the manufacturer, we’ll advise you on the timeline upfront.
My perforator is perforating paper but the text is very faint and not fully through — is this a pin issue or a depth issue? It could be either. Worn pins produce shallower holes; if the machine’s impression force has dropped (spring fatigue or mechanism wear), even good pins won’t perforate cleanly through thicker documents. We check and adjust both impression force and pin condition as part of diagnosis.
