About this section

A perforator is not a hole puncher. Where a hole puncher removes paper to create filing holes, a perforator punches a pattern of tiny holes through a document to spell out text, numbers, or a date — permanently marking the document without removing any material. The perforated text is tamper-evident and cannot be altered without destroying the document, making it the gold standard for marking financial documents, cheques, invoices, and official records.

WOW Supplies carries one of the most comprehensive perforator ranges in Malaysia — 39 models from RM2,041 to RM58,000 across manual and electric types, from two specialist brands: New Kon and Pernuma. This category also includes embossing machines for raised-seal document authentication.

Manual perforators are operated by a lever or handle press. The New Kon PR-10 (RM2,041) is a portable handy perforator for occasional use. Fixed-text manual models stamp a pre-set word — such as “VOID” or “PAID” — onto documents, while date and numbering models allow variable input per press. The Pernuma Perfoset and New Kon 208 series cover the full range of manual fixed, date, and digit configurations from RM3,728 to RM25,600.

Electric perforators automate the punching action — place the document, press a button or use a foot pedal, and the machine perforates instantly. They are significantly faster for high-volume document processing and produce more consistent results. The New Kon electric range covers fixed text (DIBAYAR, PAID, VOID, CNCLD), consecutive numbering (7-digit), date, and digit configurations from RM11,300 to RM48,000. The Pernuma Office and Perfoset electric series go up to RM58,000 for the heaviest-duty professional models.

Embossing machines (New Kon EMS/EMM/EML manual at RM12,883–RM15,820 and EES/EEM/EEL electric at RM20,320–RM22,410) create a raised or recessed impression on documents — used for company seals, authentication stamps, and official certifications.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions — Perforator Machine Malaysia

Still have a question →
What is a perforator machine and how is it different from a hole puncher?
A hole puncher removes circular pieces of paper to create filing holes — purely for document organisation. A perforator machine punches a pattern of tiny holes through a document to form text, numbers, or a date. No paper is removed — the text is formed by the hole pattern itself. The result is a permanent, tamper-evident mark on the document. Perforated text cannot be erased, whited out, or altered without visibly destroying the paper. This makes perforators essential for marking financial documents, cheques, invoices, and official records where authenticity and fraud prevention matter.
What is the difference between a fixed text, date, and numbering perforator?
These refer to what the perforator stamps onto the document. A fixed text perforator always stamps the same pre-set word — for example "PAID", "VOID", "DIBAYAR", or "CANCELLED". The text never changes. A date perforator stamps the current date onto the document — the date wheels are adjusted manually or automatically. A numbering perforator stamps a number that advances automatically with each press — used for consecutive document numbering on invoices, receipts, or cheques. Some models combine functions, such as numbering with a date line.
What is the difference between single line and double line perforators?
Single line perforators stamp the text or number in one row across the document. Double line perforators stamp two rows simultaneously — for example, a number on the first line and a date on the second line, or two lines of text. Double line models are used when documents require both a reference number and a date to be perforated in a single operation, saving time and ensuring both marks are always applied together consistently.
When should I choose an electric perforator over a manual one?
Manual perforators are suitable for moderate document volumes where the operator presses the lever by hand or foot for each document. If you are processing dozens of documents per day, manual operation is manageable. For high-volume operations — banks processing daily transactions, government departments handling large batches of forms, or accounting firms processing invoices at month end — an electric perforator is significantly faster, more consistent, and far less physically demanding. Electric models like the New Kon 10-905 and 112-905 series and Pernuma Office D/T handle sustained high-speed processing that would exhaust manual operation quickly.
What is an embossing machine and who uses it?
An embossing machine creates a raised or recessed impression on paper by pressing a die between two plates — similar to a company seal or notary stamp. The embossed mark is three-dimensional and cannot be photocopied or digitally reproduced accurately, making it a strong authentication method for official documents. Common users in Malaysia include law firms (for statutory declarations and legal documents), company secretaries (for share certificates and official resolutions), government bodies, and any organisation that issues certified or authenticated documents. WOW Supplies carries the New Kon EMS, EMM, and EML manual embossers and EES, EEM, and EEL electric embossers.
Who typically buys perforator machines in Malaysia?
The main buyers of perforator machines in Malaysia are banks and financial institutions (for cheque and transaction document marking), government departments and statutory bodies (for official form processing), legal and accounting firms (for invoice, receipt, and document authentication), and large corporations with high-volume accounts payable or receivable operations. Perforators are also used by any organisation that issues numbered documents and needs a tamper-proof consecutive reference system.
