Paper Drilling Machine

A perforator (hole punch) is designed for light to medium use — typically punching through 10 to 50 sheets at a time using a lever mechanism. It's the standard tool for everyday office filing. A paper drilling machine uses a motorised rotating drill bit to bore through large stacks of paper — typically 100 to 500+ sheets in a single operation — with clean, precise holes every time. It is designed for heavy-duty, high-volume applications where a perforator would be too slow, too physically demanding, or too inconsistent. Print shops, legal firms, archive departments, government offices, and corporate document centres are typical users.

Sysform D-50P (RM5,500) — Semi-automatic, single head: The operator loads the paper stack, positions it manually, then activates the drill. The drilling action itself is motorised, but positioning and activation are manual steps. Good for medium-volume operations where full automation is not essential. Sysform D-50A (RM7,900) — Automatic, single head: More automated operation with faster cycle times and less operator effort per stack. Better suited for offices or print rooms that drill documents daily in significant volumes and need consistent output without fatigue. Sysform D-502 (RM9,800) — Automatic, double head: Drills two holes simultaneously in a single pass. If your filing system requires two-hole drilling — standard for lever arch files — this machine halves your processing time compared to drilling each hole separately. The most efficient option for high-volume two-hole document drilling.

Paper drilling machines are designed to drill through significantly larger stacks than a perforator — typically in the range of 200 to 500 sheets per operation depending on the machine model and paper weight. For exact sheet capacity specifications for each Sysform model, refer to the individual product pages or contact us via WhatsApp at 018-207 0021.

Paper drilling machines use interchangeable drill bits, allowing different hole diameters to be produced depending on your filing system requirements. Standard hole sizes for lever arch files and ring binders are the most common, but custom hole sizes are possible by swapping the drill bit. Contact us to confirm available drill bit sizes for the Sysform models we carry.

Print shops are the most common users, but not the only ones. Any organisation that processes large volumes of documents requiring filing is a candidate — legal and accounting firms filing case documents and financial records, government departments archiving official paperwork, corporate head offices managing compliance and HR records, banks and financial institutions, hospitals and clinics filing patient records, and educational institutions filing student documents. If your team is spending significant time at a perforator struggling through thick stacks every day, a paper drilling machine pays for itself quickly in time and effort saved.

Yes — drill bits dull over time and need to be replaced periodically depending on usage volume and paper type. Heavier paper and coated stock wear bits faster than standard 80gsm office paper. Regular cleaning of paper dust from the machine's internal components also helps maintain performance and extend machine life.
