Higher resolution for detail work
Doubling the sensor resolution of Canon’s entry LiDE model, the LiDE 400 scans at up to 4800 x 4800 dpi optical resolution, capturing finer detail on photos and small originals, with software resolutions up to 19200 dpi available through ScanGear for further enlargement.
Reversible USB Type-C connection
A single USB 2.0 High-Speed Type-C cable carries both data and power, and its reversible connector plugs in either way up — no separate mains adapter, and no fumbling to find the right orientation in a dim office.
Upright scanning to save desk space
An included clip-on stand locks onto the scanner body and holds it vertically, so the LiDE 400 can stand on a narrow strip of desk instead of lying flat, feeding sheets in from the front.
Five EZ Buttons, including a dedicated PDF-finish button
A second PDF button lets a multi-page scan be closed off and saved without switching to software, alongside the Auto Scan, Copy and Send buttons; Send to Cloud can upload a scan directly to services such as Microsoft OneDrive or Dropbox.
Z-lid for bound and bulky originals
The Advanced Z-lid design lifts up to 21 mm, so the lid can sit over a thick original such as a stitched book or a stapled report without pressing it flat against the glass.
