Multipage Document Handling

The laser engine delivers monochrome prints at speeds up to 20 pages per minute with a maximum resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi. Paper handling features include an enclosed 150-sheet input tray, an anti-curl roller, an extended side paper guide, and a dual-roller feed mechanism engineered to minimise dust accumulation and paper path jams.
Network and Mobile Connectivity
Integrated IEEE 802.11b/g/n wireless networking enables multiple workstations across an office to share printing, scanning, and PC fax services over a local area network. Direct connection via Hi-Speed USB 2.0 is supported alongside mobile printing and scanning through the Brother iPrint&Scan application on iOS and Android devices.
Two-Piece Consumable System
Running costs are managed via independent consumable components comprising the TN-1000 standard-yield toner cartridge rated for up to 1,000 pages and the DR-1000 drum unit rated for up to 10,000 pages at 5% coverage. Each component is replaced separately as consumed, avoiding premature drum disposal during routine toner changes.
Faxing and Memory Capacity
The unit includes a 14,400 bps fax modem and 32 MB of onboard memory, capable of storing up to 400 pages for memory transmission or out-of-paper reception. Manual duplex printing is supported for double-sided record keeping.
