Print speed and document handling
The Brother MFC-L8900CDW produces colour and monochrome output at print speeds up to 31 pages per minute for A4 and 33 pages per minute for Letter. A 70-sheet dual CIS automatic document feeder scans both sides of two-sided originals in a single pass. Automatic duplex printing is included as standard to reduce daily paper consumption.
Paper handling and consumables
Paper supply begins with a standard 250-sheet lower tray and a 50-sheet multi-purpose tray for envelopes and alternate media. Total paper capacity can be expanded up to 2,080 sheets using optional lower cassettes or a tower tray. The machine accommodates standard, super high-yield, and ultra high-yield toner cartridges yielding up to 9,000 pages per cartridge.
Connectivity and administration
Network integration is provided via Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct, alongside local Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity. Mobile and cloud workflows are supported using AirPrint, Mopria, and the Brother iPrint&Scan application.
