Print Performance and Quality
The HP Smart Tank 720 All-in-One prints up to 15 ipm for black and 9 ipm for colour, reaching draft speeds up to 23 ipm on A4 paper with automatic two-sided printing. Print resolution reaches up to 1200 x 1200 rendered dpi for black and up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi for colour when printing from a computer and 1200 input dpi. The unit includes 128 MB of memory.
Paper Handling and Copying
Paper capacity consists of a 250-sheet input tray, monitored by automatic low paper and low ink sensors. The scanner provides optical resolution up to 1200 dpi with a maximum scan size of 216 x 297 mm. Copy functionality supports up to 99 copies and features ID copy to detect and copy IDs to print on one page.
Connectivity and Security
Connectivity options include 2.4/5G dual band Wi-Fi with self-healing, Wi-Fi Direct, and two Hi-Speed USB 2.0 device ports. Mobile printing is supported via Apple AirPrint, Mopria Print Service, HP Print Service Plugin for Android printing, and the HP Smart app. Device operation is supported by HP Wolf Essential security and smart-guided buttons that illuminate and guide the printing process.
Ink System and Replacement Supplies
The printer includes Original HP Ink in the box yielding up to 8000 colour pages or 6000 black pages, packaged with one HP GT53XL Black bottle and HP GT52 Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow bottles. Supported replacement bottles include the HP GT53 90-ml Black bottle (~4000 pages), HP 53XL 135-ml Black bottle (~6000 pages), and HP GT52 70-ml Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow bottles (~8000 pages). Both an HP Black Printhead and an HP Tri-color Printhead are provided in the box.
