❓ Frequently Asked Questions

My shredder is jammed and won’t reverse — what should I do? Do not force it. Forcing a jammed shredder can damage the cutters or strip the gear teeth. Switch it off, leave it for 15–20 minutes to cool (if it’s been running), then call or WhatsApp us. In many cases, we can guide you through a basic jam clear over the phone.

How often should I oil my paper shredder? For cross-cut and micro-cut shredders, oiling after approximately every 30 minutes of shredding time, or once a month for light use. Many overheating and jamming issues we see are simply from lack of lubrication. We’ll show you the right technique when we service your machine.

My shredder keeps shutting off after a few minutes — is it broken? Not necessarily. Frequent auto-shutoff is usually a thermal protection response to overheating — caused by overloading, lack of oil, or a blocked cutter head. A service and clean usually resolves it. If the thermal fuse has blown, we can replace it.
