Trolley / Hand Truck

Moving heavy loads around the office, stockroom, or warehouse is a lot easier with the right trolley. Whether you’re shifting boxes of paper, moving equipment between floors, or transporting files across a large office, a good hand truck saves time, protects your back, and gets the job done in fewer trips.

We carry full range trolleys from Mystar and branded trolleys, all built for heavy-duty use with steel frames and rubber wheels. The range covers three main configurations. Foldable trolleys are the most space-efficient — they fold flat when not in use and come in 150kg and 300kg load capacity versions, with an optional stopper model for added security on slopes. Double decker trolleys have two shelf levels for carrying multiple items at once, available in single and double handle designs at both 150kg and 300kg capacity. Triple decker trolleys add a third shelf level for even more carrying capacity per trip, with single and double handle options.

Frequently Asked Questions — Trolley & Hand Truck

What's the difference between a foldable trolley and a double decker trolley?
A foldable trolley is a standard hand truck design with a flat base plate and a tall back frame — you stack items vertically against the frame and tilt the trolley back to roll it. It folds flat for compact storage when not in use, making it ideal if space is limited. A double decker trolley has two horizontal shelves built into the frame, which is better for carrying multiple separate items or boxes that you want to keep stable and upright rather than stacked. The right choice depends on what you're moving and how you want to load it.
What load capacity do I need — 150kg or 300kg?
For general office use — moving boxes of paper, stationery, files, or small equipment — the 150kg models are more than sufficient for most situations. The 300kg models are better suited for heavier loads like reams of paper in bulk, archive boxes, or industrial items. When in doubt, it's safer to go with a higher capacity rating — a trolley rated for more than you need will last longer and handle overloading without stress on the frame or wheels.
What does the stopper do on the MM301-STP model?
The stopper is a braking mechanism on the wheel that prevents the trolley from rolling when you don't want it to — particularly useful on ramps, slopes, or loading bays where an unsecured trolley could roll away. If your workplace has inclined surfaces or you're loading and unloading at a dock, the stopper model gives you an extra layer of safety and control that the standard foldable model doesn't have.
Single handle or double handle — which should I choose?
A single handle trolley is more compact and easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces like narrow corridors or between office furniture. A double handle trolley gives you a wider grip and more pushing/pulling leverage, which makes it easier to control heavier loads or navigate uneven surfaces. For most standard office environments, single handle is fine. For heavier loads or longer distances, double handle gives you better control and reduces fatigue.
Are these trolleys suitable for use on carpet or uneven floors?
Yes — all the Mystar trolleys here use rubber wheels which handle smooth floors, tiles, and low-pile carpet without issue. Thick carpet or heavily textured flooring will add some resistance but shouldn't be a problem for most loads within the rated capacity. If you're moving trolleys between indoor and outdoor surfaces regularly, the rubber wheels will handle the transition well without damaging indoor flooring.
Can I use these trolleys to move office machines like printers or safes?
It depends on the weight. Always check the weight of the item against the trolley's rated capacity before loading. For heavier office machines — large printers, photocopiers, or safes — the 300kg models are the safer choice. For lighter equipment like desktop machines, monitors, or small safes, the 150kg models work fine. Make sure the item is properly secured on the trolley before moving, especially on ramps or in lifts.
