How many sheets can a guillotine cut at once?
It depends on the model. Entry-level office guillotines like the Fellowes Fusion typically cut around 10–15 sheets of 80gsm paper per pass. Heavy-duty models like the Fellowes Plasma are built for thicker stacks and higher daily volumes. Always check the sheet capacity specification of the specific model — and never exceed it, as forcing too many sheets at once damages the blade and produces an uneven cut.
What is the difference between the Fellowes Fusion and Plasma guillotine?
The Fusion (RM290–RM400) is an everyday office guillotine — good build quality for regular use, suitable for offices cutting stacks of documents, photos, or printed materials on a daily basis. The Plasma (RM1,500–RM1,600) is a heavy-duty professional guillotine with a more robust mechanism, higher sheet capacity, and a longer-lasting blade designed for sustained high-volume cutting. Is a guillotine safe to use in an office?

Can a guillotine cut laminated sheets?
Light trimming of laminated sheets is possible on heavy-duty guillotines like the Plasma, but it is not recommended as a regular practice — laminate film is significantly harder than paper and will blunt the blade faster. For cutting laminated materials regularly, a purpose-built laminate trimmer or a heavy-duty rotary trimmer with a suitable blade is a better long-term choice.
