Installation adjustment
The PT-VMZ82 has a 1.6x manual zoom lens with a throw ratio of 1.09–1.77:1. Vertical lens shift is +44 % from center of screen and horizontal lens shift is ±20 % from center of screen. Grid function, independent curved-screen correction, 6-Point Screen Adjustment and independent 4-Corner Adjustment are available via remote control.
Signal and network connections
Two HDMI™ 19-pin inputs support HDCP, Deep Color and 4K/30p signal input. DIGITAL LINK provides video, network and serial control through an HDBaseT™-compliant RJ-45 connection. The projector also has an RJ-45 LAN connection for network control and is compatible with PJLink™ [Class 2].
Projection and operation
The projector accepts 4K signals through HDMI™ and DIGITAL LINK, converting them to 1920 x 1200 pixels for projection; 4K/30p input via DIGITAL LINK is YPBPR 4:2:0 format only. It supports widescreen content such as 21:9 video conferencing layouts at its original aspect ratio, although resolution may be reduced. Built-in scheduling covers power on and off, shutter activation and input selection at specified times during the week.
Light source, sound and warranty
Time until light output declines to 50 % is 20,000 hours [NORMAL] or 24,000 hours [ECO]. Operation noise is 39 dB [NORMAL], 34 dB [QUIET1] and 29 dB [QUIET2]. The built-in speaker is 10 W monaural. Warranty: 3 years set warranty against manufacturing defects & 10,000 hrs whichever comes first for LASER projectors.
